Many may think that bullying is simply ‘kids being kids’ or that the students who are picked on will eventually ‘get over it’ and move on with their lives with no problem. However, for many students the effects of bullying can negatively impact their mental health and lead to problems concentrating on their schoolwork. Consequently, their academic performance can be affected and cause these students to underachieve. In some cases, bullying can lead students to do the unthinkable by taking their own lives.

It's difficult to figure out how you should approach your child if he or she is being bullied; and even more difficult to watch your child go through such hurt. However, sometimes kids won't even tell their parents that they're being bullied because they don't want to worry them. Bullying Canada provides useful information on what to look out for in your children.
